My great-grandfather was John Archer Kilner of the Kilner Jar Family.
He migrated to Australia turning his back on his inheritence.
My family and I viewed your episode on the Kilners with fasination and I would like to gain any information you might be willing to pass on.
I think he may have been Calebs brother or son? Johns father remarried and there was a step son.

John Kilner lived in Eaglehawk Bendigo, he was a ship engineer.

hello - came across your posting after doing a search for John Archer Kilner. I have been tracingthe Kilner familyhistory for a while - I am decendent from John WIlliam Kilner who was John Archer Kilner's uncle. I know that he emmigrated to Australia and settled in Bendigo and possibly married a Kiwi? John Archer was named after his mother Jane Archer. Your John's father did indeed marry twice- his name was Barron Kilner - very prominent person of Wakefield having been Mayor and one of the founders of the rudgy club along side his brothers. John did have a step brother - Barron Junior as well as 3 sisters. I do have some photos somewhere of the brothers and Barron senior - if you wanted to have a look.

How are you related to John ARcher? what information do you already have on him and his side of the family?
