Whilst all the worlds’ banks were collapsing under the strain of their dodgy deals, it's very noticeable that the spanish banks came through it all unscathed. I've given this much thought now for a while and come up with the answer.
Whilst all the other greedy bastards were working their bollocks off betting what they didn't have on things that didn't exist, the lazy malingering good for nothing deigos at santander was off having a siesta. That's how it is in spain. They do nothing all day but sleep, and get somebody else to do things for them. Take their first class motorway network, total cost 6 billion pounds, paid for by the eu, 6 billion pounds which uk plc paid into the eu over roughly the same period.
So, back to santander, when alliance and Leicester and others went tits up the lazy good for nothing spaniards woke up from their lazy slumber and bought them.
Yes, you guessed it; I have an axe to grind with santander. I've been am abbey national customer for a good few years now (25+), but I won't be for much longer. Some ten years ago they were consistently the best bank on the high street by a country mile, but then came along the deigos from the third world, santander. Within 12 months they went from best to one of the worst, by introducing the standards they were used to in spain...............SHITE!!!! Things like money gong missing for no reason, money being moved from wrong accounts, and cards being blocked at foreign cash machines because I hadn't asked their permission to go abroad are just a few.
So, beware Alliance and Leicester and Bradford and Bingley customers, santander is coming to ruin your bank
