BBC Controversy

Postby tedsteroid on Wed Nov 05, 2008 1:27 am

Well, not wanting to legally implicate anyone in anyway, I used to work in Chipping Norton with a complete TWAT of a boss called David Bunney from DRS computing Limited. Just ask Vanessa from Whistlers cafe for backup. The Bunnymeister nearly made me mentally Ill.

I used to see JC in Whistlers cafe and pretended I didnt know who he was and earwigged on his conversations over a strong latte. Let me tell you now, the man is funny as fuck and completely genuine. He unwittingly cheered me up no end. Just what I needed. What a posotive ray of light.

It is SUCH a shame that the British press can only report on Lewis Hamilton winning the F1 world championship for ONE day only, then loosing focus completely and negatively laying into JC the very next day for his comment about truck drivers and prostitutes. A comment, which, if it needs explaining to you, was supposed to highlight how truck drivers are unfortunately misinterpreted.

Why are the media in this coutry so down right negative and deliberatly damaging? COME ON! we have bigger fish to fry surely! Weve just produced a new f1 champion ! Think Ive said enough. Is it just me or do I despair alone?

Na man you hit the nail on the head! The british press need strangling! Half of the problem is everyone elses desire to have a pop at the BBC at every oportunity. I'll openly admit I don't like the fact I have to pay for what in my opinion is mostly toilet waste, everything except Top Gear!! I have watched it for years!! It IS the only descent thing the BBC do and may it carry on for years to come, well for as long as they can keep may propped upright anyway. lmao

What's everone's view on the BBC going privatised ?

It would stop this typically PC attitude to everything - even Eastenders now cannot have a christmas turkey in case it upsets any one!!

Does channel five give a monkeys ass about getting complaints ?

Or maybe Top Gear should move to a more non confirmist channel ?

i all for it, i have been paying the full fee & I’m not even able to receive the full "service". Would you pay for a sky subscription if you didn’t have a dish?

Amen brother!! I have lived in Swindon for about a year now and the analogue or digital signals round here are a real problem!! I have trouble picking anything up not just the BBC. I certainly wouldn't be paying for any service, not just sky, if I wasn't getting the full service. It should be privatised! Very quickly! We do pay our license fee's, always have but it just puts even more strain on the already tight purse strings and with this "credit crunch" really starting to bite it is only going to get worse. Yes it may only be £140 or whatever but to me and my small family that's three weeks shopping or 2-3 months of gas or electric. Then we ask the question should we really pay for something that in my opinion only put's out one programme worth watching a week on a Sunday night and we only get that so many weeks out of the year.

I'm just amazed at the current lack of humour that the do-gooding populous appear to have these days.

Can none of these people see Jezza was just being Jezza and not actually meaning anyone any harm?
I have a friend who actually runs a large haulage company and not one of the guys who work for him have a problem with what he said - all in good jest!

Give us more fun please before the whole country gets gagged!

well, I am truly amazed.
Such a posotive response from my last post. Some really amusing remarks made. Some of the remarks I have re-iterated down the pub and the majority of people frown upon me. Why is that? Are we scared to have (dare I say it) charisma/opinions? Or is it just me being an old sad twat? Kind answers only please ;-)
