I'll have one fitted with a towbar, then Norky can borrow it.

Ugly beast, isn't it?, but I bet it goes like stink! Have the Canadians worked out a way to fit it with snowchains?

Just traded in my old E Class for that rarest of things, an Alfa 166 3.2 (04 facelift model), but Norky's not borrowing that to pull his wobble box!

Give 'em hell, Norky.

Had to laugh reading part of an article yesterday in "The Mail" about whether Churchill was a war criminal for ordering the destruction of the French Fleet during the early part of the Second World War. This was done to prevent the French navy falling entirely into the Germans' hands following the French cowardice and surrender.

Given France's track record of enthusiastically rounding up all the Parisian Jews and shipping them off to Auschwitz and the like, it was very likely that the French would have thrown in their lot with Adolf lock, stock and barrel.

France, after all, does have a strong Naziish undertone as is still today evident by the support of Le Penn and his politics.

Perhaps "The Mail" (of all papers) would have been better concentrating its efforts into documenting our current dictatorship's announcement this week that due to the economic situation we find ourselves in, we will have no choice other than to disband our present three armed forces into one member state force, and rely on other European countries' armed forces to back us up as essentially a EUSSR superforce.

Just what Adolf would have wanted! Or even, just what Stalin would have dreamed of!

Meanwhile, Winston will be turning cartwheels in his grave, and Cameron is likely still bleating on about f***ing polar bears!

I really must answer some of your charges here:

1. The yanks gave us loads of ships because . a) we paid pots of cash for them and b) gave up our naval bases in the caribbean to the yanks, because they were utterly convinced that we had no chance of winning.

2. We do have a very effective navy still, be honest, when was the last time you saw a mine in lake coniston ?

3. Italians - catering ?? Absolutely not, they should be put in charge of military vehicle design.

4. Give the Dutch planes - no I dont think so. At the first scramble it would be " ok, but first let me finish my shmoke "

5. Belgians - hmmmm are there any military uses associated with chocolate ?

6. Ahh the french !! put them to uses they are good at i.e. cooking, drowning very small wild birds, making Citroens, growing vines and most of all running the resistance - never underestimate the french, they can be compared to the g whizz, seemingly innoccuous but a potential killer.
