I watched the documentary that Jeremy did on the Victoria Cross the other day and remembered how good both that and the follow up on Op Chariot were. Are there any more planned?
As an ex Sapper, I think the story of bomb disposal that started in WWII is worth similar attention. It has a combination of science, courage, good and bad luck - and WWII bombs are still being cleared in the UK. Yet not that much is publicly known about it, partly because at the time much had to be kept secret. Quite rightly, those who deal with terrorist or improvised explosive devices and those who clear conventional ordnance deserve respect for the risks they take. But I think much of the reputation for risk and courage comes from those pioneers who were literally training/learning on live bombs or where digging shafts down to bombs with 'ticking fuzes'.
I think that there is a good story here which Jeremy could tell very well,
